Morristown Colonials Rugby once again takes to the field! The game we play is called American Flag Rugby, a coed, non-contact form of rugby using flags. Players build and utilize the skills of running, kicking, passing, space strategy, and teamwork. It’s a game for all kids and is firmly focused on developing self-confidence and having fun.
MVP Charlie Duffy scored 3 first half tries to lead the Morris U13 squad to a decisive 46-15 victory over arch rival Union in the NJ Sate Championship final. It was Union who took the early lead before Morris began to dominate at the base of the scrum pulling ahead 20-10 by halftime.
Under Saturday’s threatening skies, the Morris Lady Lions U19 Rugby team defeated nationally-ranked Elizabeth High School Rugby team to win the first ever official New Jersey State Girls Rugby Championship hosted by Rutgers University Rugby and sanctioned by USA Rugby, rugby’s national organizing body.
In New Jersey, a teen crashes every 10 minutes. Car crashes are the #1 cause of death and disability in teens. One teen dies each week on New Jersey's roads. Our U19 Girls are one of 55 programs selected from across New Jersey to participate in this Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey sponsored program to develop a teen driving safety campaign.

Act FAST to reserve your spot! There are only 56 golfers allowed and 8 spots have already gone and the remaining 48 are going to go quickly! It will be an 18 hole, 4 man scramble format. Those that have not yet perfected their golf swing will potentially have a very memorable round. In addition, there will be a number of holes set up to play nighttime golf after dinner for those that wish to go and play a few holes after dark! The edges of the fairways are lit and you play with a glowing golf ball!
This is the final effort of the Girls U 19 Drive with your Game FACE ON campaign. If you take the Share the Road Pledge you will be entered into a weekly drawing for gas cards up to $100! It is a win – win for all!

Last year the Boot Swap was a big success, lots of folks were able to pick up slightly used cleats for the young ones. This year we are expanding the swap to include ALL rugby gear; cleats, jerseys, shorts, socks, etc. that your players have grown out of, or are in need of.
